Reason for performing a feasibility study before installing a solar self-consumption system

Solar Univergy Feasibility Study

Given that today’s society is changing its way of thinking about the use of renewable energy, many users are making the decision to switch to solar self-consumption systems. But making this change requires a small initial investment, and many potential users do extensive research before making a firm decision.

At Univergy Solar, we as a company know that this kind of decision can be difficult and that specific information must be previously considered. For this reason, and in order to facilitate this decision-making process, in May we incorporated into our website a simulator of real offers for solar self-consumption systems.

Below you will find a step-by-step explanation on how to do this process, so that the user, even before contacting the company, can have a fairly real estimate of what must be purchased.

  • Logon to our webpage: By accessing our webpage you can find a shortcut to the simulator.
  • Enter your installation site: This can be done by using the zip code or by indicating the full address based on which you can locate your location on the interactive map.
  • Draw your roof: Once you have found the location where you want to carry out the installation, you must draw the area of your roof so that the system can get an idea, as real as possible, of the area available for the installation of the solar panels.
  • Consumption data: In step four, you must include different information about the characteristics of the building in which you will carry out the installation:

– Type of installation: house, industry or hotel

 – Type of roof: Sloped or flat

  – Contracted rate: Indicate your current contracted rate. You can find all the information about the different types of rates here.

– Contracted power: The power equals the contracted KP you have according to the rate. This information can also be found on your electricity bill.

Average monthly consumption: In this case, we are talking about an estimate between two numerical values, i.e., it is not necessary to include the exact price of what you pay per month on your electricity bill, only a price within a specific range; from 0 – €50, €50 – €100, €100 – €200…

Much of this information can be found on your monthly or bi-monthly light bill. To find out how to read your electricity bill click here.

Based on all this information, our simulator will give you an estimate of everything you need to know before contacting us, such as: The estimated cost of the facilities, the money you will save monthly and yearly, the number of solar panels to be installed on your roof, the KP power you need…

All this information is confidential, at Univergy Solar we will not have access to it unless the user so wishes and indicates this by filling out a personal data form. Once this form has been sent, a report will be given to us based on which we can prepare an estimate tailored to the unique needs of the customer.
