After three days in which the renewable sector met to discuss the future of the energy industry and make strategic contacts, Genera 2021 comes to an end. From Univergy Solar, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all our employees, who put all their enthusiasm and enthusiasm, the colleagues from other companies for coming to meet us and offer us their hand to collaborate and all the people who came to stand number 4E08.
This last edition of Genera was held at a particularly important time after months in which meeting in a physical space and being able to see each other’s faces was more than difficult. Therefore, on this occasion there was a special enthusiasm to meet again and share experiences. This was reflected in the almost 500 exhibitors at this year’s fair – almost twice as many as last year.
Once again, this edition was organized by IFEMA Madrid, together with the IDAE, and was inaugurated by the Minister for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera. During the first day, the minister, together with the Secretary of State for Energy, Sara Aagesen, toured the stands of the exhibitors at the fair. In addition, the minister announced that she will open the Self-consumption Roadmap for consultation with the intention of “enabling the mass deployment of self-consumption, removing barriers and encouraging the application of all productive sectors”.
After this, the fair was the perfect opportunity to bring together the main players in the sector and thus generate ties and relationships that will accelerate the process of decarbonization of the energy sector and contribute to reversing climate change. The renewable community showcased its range of solutions and latest developments while multiple conferences, activities and forums were held for companies and professionals.
Finally, Genera awarded, through its Innovation Gallery, twelve of the most innovative projects, selected by a jury with high sectorial representation. Among them, the second life batteries of BEE Planet Factory; the photovoltaic solar systems of La Escandella, for their elegance and efficiency. The latter are highly aesthetic roofs that will transform the installation of solar panels into something very different from what is considered today.
In short, these were 3 very intense and emotionally charged days for all of us who are part of the sector. Here we were able to glimpse the future of an industry in constant change and of which we are very proud to see grow year after year. Therefore, the balance of Genera 2021 is more than good and from now on, we are working to make the next edition also a success. Thank you very much!
