Univergy signs agreement with Tecasol in the Basque Country
Univergy has a portfolio of 600 MW photovoltaic solar projects under development in Spain. Tecasol brings to the agreement its enormous experience in self-consumption projects, among others.
Univergy signs an agreement with Tecasol to promote a joint venture in order to promote and develop future photovoltaic renewable energy projects in the Basque Country, Navarra, La Rioja and Cantabria.
The agreement is part of the objective of both companies to develop projects aimed at generating 100% green energy, maximizing the energy savings for customers, and will have an important portfolio of projects, which will turn both companies into leaders in the photovoltaic sector in the North of Spain. • Connection to distribution networks up to 5 MW/DC projects
• Self-consumption projects for the industrial, agricultural and services sectors.
• Self-consumption projects for the residential market
• Distribution of equipment for all business lines
• Self-consumption facilities with intelligent storage.
The president and CEO of Univergy International, Ignacio Blanco, said that “the collaboration agreement with Tecasol will allow Univergy to strengthen and provide greater range to projects in four Autonomous Communities such as the Basque Country, Navarra, La Rioja and Cantabria, where they have bet in an unamniguous way for the development of initiatives related to clean energies ”, he also pointed out that “this agreement is a good sign, since both companies follow a very positive exponential growth path, especially in Spain”.
